This concert reflects upon the timeless story of the Three Magi, whose journey across distant lands was guided by a mysterious star to the humble birthplace of the Christ child.

 

Presented during the weekend of the Solemnity of the Epiphany in the Christian liturgical calendar, the programme draws inspiration from the symbolism of the guiding star. Embracing a broader “star-themed” concept, the concert also playfully echoes the name STELLA ÆTERNA CONSORT, of which "stella" meaning “star.”

 

Alongside sacred repertoire, the programme features contemporary works such as Northern Lights by Ola Gjeilo and Izar Ederrak by Josu Elberdin, among others, creating an atmospheric evening of choral music that illuminates a sense of celestial wonder.
